Symptoms of Dengue Fever:

Dengue fever can be detected by the following symptoms:

  1. Sudden high fever
  2. Pain in the backbone
  3. Headaches
  4. Joint and Muscle pain
  5. Vomiting with blood
  6. Mild bleeding from nose
  7. Platelet count keeps getting low

Its not stated that every victim will have all the above mentioned symptoms.There are stages of this fever,on the initial stage some of these symptoms will appear and after that the bleeding from nose and vomiting will start.People with weakened immune systems as well as those with a second or subsequent dengue infection are believed to be at greater risk for developing dengue hemorrhagic fever.

Dengue shock syndrome:

This is the worst form of dengue which can also result in death, again mild dengue fever symptoms may appear, but others likely to appear are:

  1. Intense stomach pain
  2. Disorientation
  3. Sudden hypo tension (fast drop in blood pressure)
  4. Heavy bleeding
  5. Regular vomiting
  6. Blood vessels leaking fluid
